PLAYDAY is a children’s art studio with a commitment to opening up children’s minds to creativity, expressive play, social connection, respect, and fun. They cater to students from a few months old to middle school with a wide variety of art topics: mixed media, drawing, painting, watercolor, sculpture, printmaking, architecture, and more. I lead a Grown Up and Me art classes where I read students (age 4 and under) a story and facilitate age-appropriate art projects with the support of PLAYDAY curriculum and my own artistic approach. This class was at one time followed by Grown Up and Me music, where I lead students of the same age group in songs, teach them about instruments and musical terms, and enjoy moving to different types of music. Within this age group, I also facilitate a Creative Sensory Hour that incorporates art projects with sensory play. I would curate sensory bins following weekly themes and come up with art projects and other stations to activate all the toddlers’ senses. It is always a joy to see kids experience the freedom and joy of tactile art and play!
