ARC Character Development Program

NewArts/12.14 Foundation, Newtown CT

(Summer 2019, Virtual Summer 2020)

The ARC program is the educational component of the NewArts summer theater experience. The sessions run in modules in order to teach students ages 6-20 about identifying character strengths in themselves and other, emotional intelligence and regulation, growing one’s confidence, and building resilience and grit. In the summer of 2019 I added to and developed the curriculum to make the same topics appropriate and engaging for the different age groups while leading (elementary, middle, and high school). In the summer of 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, I translated lesson to be effective over Zoom and organized virtual sessions.
